Perhaps in an attempt to make himself more palatable to Dancing With The Stars fans, Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was photographed in Seaside Heights, New Jersey yesterday holding a furry little bitch!

After confirming that the Dancing With The Stars season 11 cast will feature Jersey Shore’s “The Situation“, as rumored, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino wants his JS fans to know that there’s enough of him to spread across television.

“There’s enough Situation to go around, The Situation has mass appeal.”

The Situation” is expected to earn close to 5 million dollars this year from his Jersey Shore spot alone.

“It’s pretty unbelievable for me to be on one of the biggest shows on MTV to one of the biggest shows on TV”

Who knows how much that will be now that he’s etched DWTS into his metaphorical bedpost.

The ‘Sitch is really (fist)pumped about his new venture with the hit ballroom dancing show, and is eager to include his Jersey Shore friends in the excitement.

Mike also added that he feels like an underdog since he’ll be balancing the filming between two different shows at the same time:

“I’m going to lose a couple days practice, but I don’t mind being the underdog.”

“The Situation”’s dance partner will be announced tomorrow, and Mike hopes his fans will root for him on all avenues.

The Hollywood Reporter is right: “The Situation” should change his name to “The Corporation.”  Mike Sorrentino, 29, is slated to earn more that $5 million by the end of this year. With Jersey Shore bringing MTV the best ratings the network has seen in seven years, the reality star is raking in the bucks. His manager, Mike Petolino, said:

“We are really excited about all the opportunities coming Mike’s way. He has been able to secure many endorsement deals, business opportunities and additional television offers based on the success of the show. Our goal has always been to try to build a brand if the situation presented itself.”

A source familiar with Sorrentino’s financial situation, pardon the pun, said after bonus incentives, ratings, and appearance fees, the reality star is earning close to $60,000 an episode for the upcoming third season of Jersey Shore.

The Situation Wants To Go Dancing With The Stars

Sorrentino earned himself a six-figure advance with Gotham Books to write his autobiography titled Here’s the Situation. He has also developed an abs-focused workout dvd, “The Situation Workout,” and a chewable supplement line distributed by GNC. Not to mention, an upcoming deal with a vodka line, Reebok, and Vitamin Water.
